31/08/26 - the start
As this is my first blog post, i'm a bit unsure of what to write but I figured, I could start with a list of hobbies/crafts I've tried and what I would rate them as I like to try alot of things but not everything sticks.
so what better to start with then...
Coding!
my most recent hobby. At first I thought coding was numbers (which I was worried about because maths is not my strong suit), but then I realised it's just writing. Now, it is difficult and confusing at first but as you get more into it, it becomes easier to understand. Make no mistake though, I am very much learning as I go and am making heaps of mistakes.
I find coding very fun, I love the creative aspect of it and the fact that I've built it all myself. I stayed up to 2am the other night to work on my page! Also there is plenty of community recources to help which is great (maybe i'll make another blog post on that).
So all in all I rate this a 8/10
Jewellry making!
10/10 obviously. I think in another life I was a crow, I just love shiny things and collecting. Jewellry making, if you have the tools, and the materials, is really easy to self teach. I enjoy the process and find it quite relaxing, and am able to listen to something whilst I do it which is always nice. Then I enjoy wearing it! yay!
Nails!
Nails and I have a love/hate relationship. I love the way they look with charms, I love how I feel wearing them,I love shaping them and the length, I enjoy making them but they can be incredibly frustrating. I find it difficult to design on such a small scale and am impatient in letting them dry so more often than not, the design is smudged and I scrap the whole nail. I have only trialed with gel polish and have none of my own so maybe that's the missing link. All the nails I've done are acrylic and further I find it tricky to actually glue them on my nail :( So maybe a 6/10.
